I found this great Canadian article from the University of Waterloo on copyright guidelines. It makes it very clear that images can be copied to create a PowerPoint presentation for students enrolled in your class. Apparently you just have to adhere to the amount copied under fair dealing. Here’s the link to the Fair Dealing Advisory.

It states that copyright-protected work may be used for educational use in non-profit universities.
